ANNOUNCEMENT OF VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Maweni Regional Referral Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanian citizens to apply for volunteer contract positions in various hospital departments as follows:
- MORTUARY ATTENDANT (2 Positions)
Duties:
i. Receiving, preserving, and releasing bodies in accordance with hospital procedures.
ii. Maintaining cleanliness of the mortuary and its equipment.
iii. Keeping accurate records of bodies received and released.
iv. Collaborating with nurses and doctors in body management.
Applicant Qualifications:
i. Secondary education (Form Four) or higher.
ii. Training or experience in mortuary work will be an added advantage.
iii. Must be disciplined, honest, and able to work in challenging environments.
- RECORDS OFFICER (1 Position)
Duties:
i. Managing and organizing patient files and hospital documents.
ii. Entering and storing information in electronic systems.
iii. Issuing files to health workers as required.
iv. Ensuring confidentiality of patient information is maintained.
Applicant Qualifications:
i. Diploma in Records Management or a related field.
ii. Computer skills (Microsoft Office).
iii. Ability to work carefully and in accordance with professional ethics.
- DRIVER (2 Positions)
Duties:
i. Driving hospital vehicles, including ambulances.
ii. Ensuring vehicles are well maintained and in good condition at all times.
iii. Conducting routine vehicle inspections and reporting any faults.
iv. Observing road safety rules and regulations.
Applicant Qualifications:
i. Valid driving license Class C or E.
ii. At least two (2) years of driving experience.
iii. First Aid training certificate will be an added advantage.
iv. Must be trustworthy and disciplined.
- ANESTHETIST (1 Position)
Duties:
i. Administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
ii. Monitoring patients before, during, and after surgery.
iii. Working closely with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.
iv. Maintaining anesthesia equipment and ensuring it functions properly.
Applicant Qualifications:
i. Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Nursing with a certificate in Anesthesia.
ii. Must be registered with the relevant professional health council.
iii. Previous hospital work experience will be an added advantage.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. These positions are offered on a volunteer contract basis.
ii. Applicants must be ready to work diligently and adhere to public service ethics.
