TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR REVENUE COLLECTORS
The Executive Director of Mbozi District Council invites applications from qualified Tanzanian citizens for temporary positions as Revenue Collectors for the collection of Internal Revenue of Mbozi District Council.
1.0 REVENUE COLLECTOR (50 POSITIONS)
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To collect the Council’s internal revenue using Electronic Point of Sale (POS) machines and submit the collections to the District Council Management.
ii. To ensure that all revenue is collected in accordance with the conditions specified in the employment contract.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess a minimum education level of Form Four and above and must be capable of using smartphones.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
i. Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged 21 years and above and a resident of Mbozi District.
ii. Applicants must attach a birth certificate and a National Identification Card (NIDA).
iii. Applicants must submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) containing contact address and telephone number, together with the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of two referees.
iv. Must be willing to work under the terms and conditions specified in the employment contract.
v. All applications must be accompanied by copies of all relevant academic and professional certificates.
vi. Must be ready to be assigned to any internal revenue collection center within Mbozi District Council.
vii. Must be trustworthy in collecting Government revenue and ensure that Government funds are not lost.
viii. Must have a clean record with no history of embezzlement or misuse of public funds.
ix. A recommendation letter from the Ward Executive Officer of the ward where the applicant resides must be attached.
REMUNERATION
Payment will be made on a commission basis according to the amount of revenue collected and remitted.
