MANAGING DIRECTOR
IM Hodari Consulting, on behalf of Kilimo Afya Trust, is recruiting an exceptional executive leader to serve as Managing Director and drive strategy, governance, and lasting impact across agricultural communities in Tanzania.
Location: Dodoma, Tanzania
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead the development and implementation of the Trust’s 4-year Strategic Plan
· Provide executive oversight of all agricultural development and beneficiary-facing programs
· Hold ultimate accountability for the Trust’s financial health, controls, and compliance
· Drive fundraising and grant acquisition from donors, development finance institutions, and impact investors
· Oversee the loan portfolio, ensuring portfolio health and risk-adjusted growth
· Champion safeguarding as a non-negotiable commitment across all programs
· Build and lead a high-performing Senior Management Team
· Represent the Trust to government, regulatory bodies, and strategic partners
QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s degree in Development Studies
· Master’s degree in Project Management
· Master’s degree in Agriculture
· Master’s degree in Finance
· Master’s degree in Business Administration
· Master’s degree in Law
· Master’s degree in Economics
· Master’s degree in a related field
· Minimum 10 years of progressive experience, with at least 5 years at a senior executive level
· Proven track record in entrepreneurship, strategic planning, financial stewardship, and donor relations
· Direct experience working with or reporting to a Board of Trustees
· Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, IFRS reporting, and audit management
· Hands-on experience in program management and impact measurement
· Fluency in both English and Kiswahili
