1. Customer Experience Executive – Morogoro

Job Summary

Provide specialist advice and support for day-to-day operations while executing predefined objectives in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

Sales (20%)

  • Build strong relationships with existing customers to identify future needs and sales opportunities.
  • Cross-sell appropriate banking products through face-to-face interactions.
  • Deliver customer service according to established service standards.
  • Complete follow-up documentation and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Assist customers in completing bank forms and other documentation.
  • Introduce customers to relevant product and segment specialists.
  • Support branch marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Handle customer complaints in the banking hall.
  • Support the Branch Manager in community engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure the banking hall remains clean, organized, and well merchandised.
  • Achieve individual sales and service targets.
  • Maintain sales statistics and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with customer onboarding procedures.
  • Deliver assigned financial targets.
  • Perform account opening, account maintenance, loan processing, cheque book ordering, customer complaint handling, and Branch Maker (Sybrin) activities.
  • Issue ATM cards and PINs as directed by the Branch Manager.

Business Management (5%)

  • Maintain statistics and monitor progress against targets.

Customer Service (60%)

  • Support customer complaint resolution when escalated to the Branch Manager.
  • Conduct monthly complaint trend analysis and recommend preventive measures.
  • Ensure all customer service equipment is operational and maintained.
  • Direct customers to the most appropriate banking channels.
  • Manage manual and remote transaction authorizations.
  • Work closely with Operations, KYC Helpdesk, and other internal service providers to ensure efficient customer service.
  • Monitor customer service performance through Q-matic to ensure service points remain adequately staffed.

Administration (5%)

  • Perform systems administration and user maintenance.
  • Provide feedback on external service providers such as cleaning and courier services.

Contribution to the Team (10%)

  • Provide operational support and cover for the Branch Operations Manager and Branch Operations Team when required.

2. Fin-Crime Advisory – Governance Manager

Job Summary

Support the Head of Risk and Governance in managing Governance, Risk, and Compliance activities within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Function.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Risk and Control (60%)

  • Ensure Corporate Banking staff comply with Absa governance policies and standards.
  • Coordinate quality assurance reviews, audit preparations, remediation activities, and monitoring reports.
  • Participate in localization of country policies and standards.
  • Supervise KYC, AML, and sanctions screening activities.
  • Participate in operational risk assessments and process mapping reviews.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives while ensuring compliance with HR policies.
  • Produce management information reports for governance and control objectives.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit findings, operational risk actions, and monitoring issues.

3. Liability Products Manager

Job Summary

The Liability Products Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing the bank's retail liability products through product strategy, pricing, research, development, implementation, stakeholder engagement, and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Management (50%)

  • Develop income targets for retail liability products.
  • Develop pricing strategies and obtain approvals.
  • Conduct product research, development, and implementation.
  • Prepare monthly tariff reports to identify pricing errors and revenue leakages.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Retail Credit, Marketing, and other stakeholders.
  • Drive balance sheet growth.
  • Plan and execute product campaigns and sales initiatives.
  • Develop medium-term growth plans and margin forecasts.
  • Monitor monthly income performance.
  • Monitor competitor products and market trends.
  • Recommend product improvements and customer value enhancements.
  • Develop innovative liability product solutions.
  • Deliver product training to internal teams.
  • Increase customer awareness through marketing initiatives.

Product Development & Implementation (30%)

  • Prepare business cases for new products.
  • Obtain approvals for product launches.
  • Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Support implementation of new liability products.
  • Manage improvements to existing products.
  • Engage stakeholders to improve product adoption.
  • Coordinate product governance activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Support, Stakeholder Engagement & Training (10%)

  • Provide competitor market intelligence.
  • Support product training activities.
  • Resolve customer complaints related to liability products.
  • Work with Technology teams to resolve system issues.
  • Ensure accurate product information is displayed across banking channels.
  • Monitor compliance with sales processes.
  • Identify staff training needs and coordinate learning initiatives.

Risk & Control (10%)

  • Report risk events promptly.
  • Understand operational risks and applicable controls.
  • Ensure compliance with Absa policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • National Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Business, Commerce, Management Studies, or a related field.
