Position: Tour Guiding Instructor
Audrey Veldman Vocational Training Centre is a vocational education institution registered by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) in Tanzania under Registration Number REG/NACTVET/0555. The institution is located in Mbulumbulu Ward, Karatu District, Arusha Region.
The Centre invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanian candidates to fill the position of Tour Guiding Instructor.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Teaching the Tour Guiding course in accordance with the VETA curriculum.
- Preparing lesson plans, practical training sessions, examinations, and assessments.
- Maintaining students' academic records and progress reports while providing professional guidance and mentorship.
- Using teaching equipment effectively and ensuring it is properly maintained.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the institution's management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Tour Guiding, Tourism Management, or Tourism and Hospitality Management.
- A Technical/Teaching Methodology Certificate.
- Good spoken and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- High integrity, honesty, and good moral character.
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Willingness to work within the institution's environment, including conducting practical training sessions.
