Position: Technical Sales Engineer (2 Positions)
Location: Dar es Salaam
Competency Requirements
- University Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any other related field.
- At least 1 year of work experience in Technical Sales.
- Strong account management and relationship building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP proficiency is preferred.
- Result-oriented with the ability to sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with existing and prospective customers to generate new business.
- Strive to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Understand customers' needs and recommend suitable Plasco products through meetings, presentations and product pitching across sectors.
- Gather relevant market intelligence and inform the Marketing & Sales Manager on potential projects and competitor behavior.
- Prepare price schedules for formal tenders on behalf of the company in a professional manner.
- Coordinate with production, stores and finance departments to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
- Provide management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services.
