ANNOUNCEMENT OF SELECTED CONTRACT TEACHERS ASSIGNED TO TEACH BUSINESS STUDIES IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS
The Prime Minister's Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), in collaboration with Educate! Tanzania through the Business Studies Teaching and Learning Improvement Project, is implementing an initiative to strengthen the teaching and learning of Business Studies in secondary schools.
Previously, the Office announced 400 contract teaching positions for Business Studies teachers to serve in secondary schools with critical staffing needs in the regions of Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Simiyu, Kagera, Geita, Tabora, Dodoma, Morogoro, Pwani, and Dar es Salaam. The objective of this project is to support the implementation of the 2014 Education and Training Policy (2023 Edition) and the revised Secondary Education Curriculum, which emphasizes Business Studies to enhance students' entrepreneurial skills.
The Prime Minister's Office – PO-RALG hereby announces the names of volunteer (contract) teachers who met the required qualifications, were successfully selected, and have been assigned to secondary schools to teach Business Studies. All selected teachers are required to report to their respective Local Government Authorities (Councils) to complete employment procedures from 24 July 2026 to 6 August 2026. Any position remaining unclaimed after this period will be offered to another qualified applicant.
The list of selected and assigned contract Business Studies teachers is available through the ajira.tamisemi.go.tz portal and the www.tamisemi.go.tz website.
