Singida Teachers Training College (STTC) is an educational institution engaged in providing quality teacher training, research and community services with the aim of producing competent, ethical and innovative professionals.

- PRINCIPAL – SINGIDA POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE
Number of Positions: 1
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee all academic, administrative and development activities of the College. • Oversee the implementation of applicable education policies, plans, regulations and standards. • Manage staff, resources, budgets and College expenditures efficiently and accountably. • Ensure the quality of teaching, learning, assessment and services provided to students. • Represent the College in meetings, partnerships and various institutional activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must hold a Master’s Degree or PhD in Education, Educational Leadership, Educational Management or another related field. • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in leadership or management of an educational institution. • Must possess strong leadership, planning, decision-making and staff management skills. • Must demonstrate integrity, accountability and excellent communication skills.
- HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER / HR
Number of Positions: 1
Key Responsibilities
• Manage employment matters, contracts, leave, attendance and staff records. • Coordinate recruitment processes, including receiving and onboarding new employees. • Oversee the implementation of human resource policies, procedures and regulations. • Maintain and update employee information and personnel files. • Advise Management on various human resource and administrative matters.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Minimum of a Diploma in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field. • Applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field will be given preference. • Must have computer skills and knowledge of human resource management systems. • Experience in human resources or administration will be an added advantage.
- PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES OFFICER
Number of Positions: 1
Key Responsibilities
• Manage procurement, supplies and the availability of goods and services required by the College. • Prepare and maintain records of procurement, equipment and College assets. • Monitor the receipt, storage and distribution of supplies to relevant departments. • Work with Management in preparing procurement and supply plans. • Ensure procurement and supply procedures are followed with transparency and accountability.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Materials Management, Logistics or a related field. • Must have knowledge of procurement, supply and records management systems. • Must have good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office. • Experience in procurement or supplies will be an added advantage.
- DRIVERS
Number of Positions: 3
Key Responsibilities
• Drive College vehicles safely and in compliance with road safety regulations. • Transport staff, visitors, documents and equipment as instructed. • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are maintained in good condition. • Maintain records of trips, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance. • Report vehicle faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must have a minimum of Form Four education. • Must possess a valid driving licence appropriate for the type of vehicle assigned. • Must have at least three (3) years of driving experience. • Must be trustworthy, disciplined and committed to observing road safety regulations.
- REGIONAL COORDINATORS
Number of Positions: 15
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate College activities and programmes in the assigned region. • Oversee the implementation of academic activities, admissions and student services in the respective area. • Link the College with students, education stakeholders and various institutions within the region. • Monitor the implementation of College plans and objectives in the region and submit progress reports. • Support student awareness, marketing and admissions activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Administration, Management, Community Development, Marketing or a related field. • Must have good coordination, leadership and communication skills. • Must have computer skills and knowledge of digital systems. • Experience in education, programme coordination or community activities will be an added advantage.
- CHINESE LANGUAGE TEACHERS
Number of Positions: 10
Key Responsibilities
• Teach Chinese language in accordance with the curriculum and standards established by the College. • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and student assessments. • Monitor students’ progress in reading, writing, listening and speaking Chinese. • Prepare and mark examinations, exercises and students’ assignments. • Participate in academic activities and language and cultural programmes.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese Language, Education, Languages or a related field. • Must have good speaking, reading and writing skills in Chinese. • Recognised Chinese language proficiency certificates such as HSK will be an added advantage. • Experience in teaching Chinese language will be given preference.
- DISTANCE EDUCATION OFFICERS
Number of Positions: 4
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate the implementation of distance education programmes and ensure students receive appropriate services. • Monitor participation, progress and needs of students studying through distance learning. • Coordinate communication between students, instructors and academic departments. • Support the distribution of learning materials and the use of digital education systems. • Prepare implementation and progress reports for distance education programmes.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Educational Technology, Distance Education, Educational Management or a related field. • Must have an understanding of distance education systems and online learning. • Must have good computer skills and knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS). • Experience in distance education or e-learning will be an added advantage.
- EDUCATION QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICERS
Number of Positions: 4
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and assess the quality of teaching, learning and curriculum implementation. • Conduct academic assessments and ensure education standards are maintained. • Inspect lesson plans, teaching materials and implementation of academic activities. • Prepare quality assurance reports and provide recommendations for improvement. • Work with instructors and Management to improve the quality of education.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Quality Assurance in Education, Educational Management or a related field. • Must have good knowledge of curriculum, teaching, assessment and quality assurance systems. • Must have the ability to conduct assessments, analysis and prepare academic reports. • Experience in teaching or education quality assurance will be an added advantage.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RECORDS OFFICER

Key Responsibilities
• Receive and serve students, applicants, visitors and other College stakeholders. • Respond to enquiries and provide accurate information about College programmes, admissions and services. • Receive and follow up on feedback, complaints and customer challenges until they are resolved. • Handle communication through telephone, email and digital systems. • Maintain service records and ensure customers receive timely and professional services.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Customer Service, Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication or a related field. • Must have excellent communication skills in both Kiswahili and English. • Must have good computer and communication systems skills. • Experience in customer service, front office or an educational environment will be an added advantage.
- HEAD OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) DEPARTMENT

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all College ICT systems. • Manage networks, servers, information systems, website, databases and digital infrastructure. • Ensure the security, availability and safe storage of College information and systems. • Manage the resolution of technical challenges and provide ICT support to staff and students. • Develop and implement strategies for the College’s technology development and improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field. • Must have at least three (3) years of experience in ICT, preferably in a management position. • Must have skills in networking, databases, systems security, server administration and digital systems. • Professional ICT certifications will be an added advantage.
- HEAD OF DISTANCE EDUCATION (E-LEARNING) DEPARTMENT

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all distance education and e-learning activities of the College. • Develop and manage plans, systems and strategies for the delivery of distance education. • Manage the use and development of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital learning platforms. • Coordinate instructors, distance education officers and other stakeholders in programme delivery. • Monitor quality, participation and student progress and prepare departmental performance reports.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must hold a Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Technology, Distance Education, E-Learning, Educational Management or a related field. • Must have at least three (3) years of experience in education, distance education, e-learning or academic programme management. • Must have skills in Learning Management Systems (LMS), educational technology and online learning systems. • Must have strong leadership, coordination, planning and team management skills.
- ACCOUNTANT
Number of Positions: 1
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all College income, expenditure and financial records. • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. • Manage fee collection and follow up on student debts. • Prepare budgets and monitor expenditure according to the approved budget. • Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain payment documents. • Manage accounting systems and ensure all transactions are accurately entered. • Prepare documents and reports required for audits. • Ensure the College’s financial procedures, regulations and policies are followed.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field from a recognised institution. • Must have good knowledge of accounting systems, Microsoft Excel and computer applications. • Must be trustworthy, detail-oriented, disciplined and able to maintain financial confidentiality. • Experience in accounting, particularly in an educational institution, will be an added advantage.
