POSITION 1: PIPE WELDER (20 POSITIONS)
Reports to: Piping Department/Construction Manager
Duty Station: Nyanzaga Site, Sengerema District
Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and certified Pipe Welders to join our team on Nyanzaga Project. In this role, you will assemble, install, maintain, and repair high-pressure piping systems carrying water or chemicals. You will be responsible for preparing pipes, reading engineering blueprints, executing precise welds according to strict code specifications, and performing quality inspections to ensure joint integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, bevel, align, and clamp pipe sections and fittings into place using power tools, flame cutters, and pipe-fittment equipment.
- Welding Execution: Perform high-quality, defect-free welds (multi-pass welds in all positions) on carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy, or copper piping systems.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished welds for surface defects (cracks, porosity, undercut, lack of penetration) visually and assist with non-destructive testing (NDT) such as radiography (X-ray) or hydrostatic testing.
- Equipment Maintenance: Set up, calibrate, and maintain welding machines, torches, regulators, shielding gas supplies, and safety gear.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations, site safety rules, and industry code standards.
Technical Skills & Welding Processes
- Certified in one of the following welding processes:
- GTAW/TIG
- SMAW/Stick
- GMAW/MIG
- Must be capable of passing site-specific bend and 100% X-ray tests.
Required Skilled Knowledge
- Experience: 3+ years of professional pipe welding experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or refinery environments.
- Tool Proficiency: Mastery of hand and power tools (angle grinders, plasma cutters, pipe beveling equipment, oxy-fuel torches).
- Measurement & Layout: Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, framing squares, and pipe alignment clamps to achieve tight tolerances.
POSITION 2: CRANE OPERATOR (10 POSITIONS)
Reports to: Construction Manager
Duty Station: Nyanzaga Site, Sengerema District

Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy machinery, structural steel, and construction materials.
- Pre-Operational Inspections: Conduct mandatory daily checks of rigging equipment, wire ropes, hydraulic systems, and safety devices prior to operation.
- Site Preparation: Inspect lift routes, verify ground conditions, deploy outriggers/mats, and ensure load limits match crane capacity charts.
- Communication & Coordination: Work closely with riggers, dogmen, and site supervisors using hand signals and two-way radio protocols.

POSITION 3: HSE OFFICER (6 POSITIONS)
Reports to: Lead HSE Advisor/Construction Manager
Duty Station: Nyanzaga Site, Sengerema District
Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and dedicated HSE Officers to oversee health, safety, and environmental protocols during the construction phase of Nyanzaga Gold Project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing hazard mitigation strategies, conducting daily risk assessments, and enforcing safety standards on site. This role requires a hands-on professional capable of fostering a strong safety culture among workers, contractors, and heavy-equipment operators in high-risk environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Inspections & Compliance
- Conduct daily HSE site walk-throughs to inspect active civil construction, steel erection, heavy equipment operations, and earthworks.
- Ensure strict adherence to Tanzanian OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Authority) regulations, NEMC (National Environment Management Council) standards, and international frameworks (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Exercise full authority to issue Stop-Work Orders in situations presenting immediate danger to personnel or critical equipment.
2. Risk Management & Permitting
- Assist site teams and contractors with Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
- Manage and issue strict Permit-to-Work (PTW) protocols for high-risk construction tasks, including Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, Lifting Operations, and Excavations.
3. Incident Investigation & Reporting
- Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) investigations for accidents, near-misses, injuries, and property damage.
- Maintain accurate incident logs, generate monthly HSE compliance reports, and present data to project management.
4. Environmental & Health Monitoring
- Oversee site waste management, hazardous chemical handling, fuel spill prevention, and dust/noise suppression protocols.
- Monitor health and hygiene facilities in remote site camps to maintain worker well-being.
5. Training & Communication
- Conduct mandatory general site inductions for all new personnel, sub-contractors, and site visitors.
- Lead daily Pre-Start and Toolbox meetings with site crews.
- Organize emergency response drills (fire, medical evacuation, and spill control).
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Mandatory Certifications:
- Tanzanian NOSHCI & II (National Occupational Safety and Health Course) certification.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification.
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on HSE experience directly in heavy civil construction, mining infrastructure build-out, or heavy engineering projects.
- Proven track record working with heavy mobile equipment, steel structures, high-voltage electrical setups, and bulk earthworks.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep knowledge of Tanzanian labor, mining, and environmental laws.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Swahili (verbal and written).
POSITION 4: PIPE FITTER (20 POSITIONS)
Reports to: Piping Department/Construction Manager
Duty Station: Nyanzaga Site, Sengerema District
Job Overview
We are seeking qualified, experienced, and safety-driven Pipe Fitters to join our construction team at Nyanzaga Site. You will be responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining high-pressure pipe systems, pipelines, valves, and mechanical fittings essential to modern mineral processing plants and underground/open-pit mining infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Piping Assembly & Fabrication: Read and interpret piping isometric drawings, blueprints, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and structural layout specs to plan line routing and material needs.
- Fitting & Alignment: Inspect, cut, thread, bevel, assemble, and align high-pressure carbon steel, stainless steel, and HDPE piping systems prior to welding or mechanical joining.
- Site Preparation: Select and prepare pipe sizes, types, and related materials (flanges, valves, gaskets, supports, hangers) according to project specifications.
- Equipment Operation: Safely utilize shop and field tools including pipe cutters, beveling machines, grinders, threaders, hydraulic benders, and hoisting equipment.
- Hydrostatic & Pressure Testing: Prepare pipe circuits for pressure, leak, and hydrostatic testing, ensuring high safety standards during operations.
- Compliance & Safety: Strictly follow company Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) guidelines, participate in daily Toolbox Talks, and conduct Risk Assessments / Job Safety Analyses (JSA) before starting tasks.
Required Skilled Knowledge
- Education: VETA Trade Test Grade I / Certificate in Pipefitting, Mechanical Fabrication, or Plumbing, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Pipe Fitter on large-scale industrial construction projects (mining, oil & gas, process plants, or heavy industry).
- Proven experience working on carbon steel, stainless steel, and HDPE / Viticultic piping systems.
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and work from Piping Isometric drawings and spool sheets independently.
- Familiarity with international standards (ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, AWS).
- Competency in flanged joints, bolt torquing procedures, and valve installations.
- Certifications: OSHA / HSE safety training certifications (Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry) are highly advantageous.
- Functional working knowledge of English (reading technical manuals and drawings).
