JOB VACANCY

Position: HOTEL MANAGER
Duty Station: Lutheran Uhuru Hotel and Conference Center - Moshi

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
  • Managing human resources and maintaining employee discipline.
  • Managing hotel revenue and expenditure and preparing regular operational reports.
  • Ensuring high-quality guest services and maintaining good relationships with customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to grow the hotel's business and increase revenue.
  • Ensuring efficient utilization and proper management of hotel resources.
  • Ensuring that hotel operations comply with the principles of the Church, applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field from a government-recognized institution.
  • Have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in hotel leadership and management or in a similar hospitality or service-oriented institution.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, planning, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Have experience in the use of digital service-delivery systems and technology.
  • Have experience in tourism marketing, particularly in mountain climbing tourism, as well as domestic and international tourism.
  • Have demonstrated experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and the management of human and financial resources.
  • Be proficient in computer applications, data-entry programs, and social media platforms.
  • Demonstrate high levels of integrity, honesty, professionalism, and conduct consistent with Christian principles.
  • Applicants aged 35-55 years are preferred.

SALARY

Salary and other benefits will be provided in accordance with the Northern Diocese Staff Development/Employment Structure.
