JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Director of Kinondoni Municipal Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the opportunity to apply for Thirteen (13) job positions in this Council, following approval from the Office of the President, Public Service Management, and Good Governance, with the following breakdown:
1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 13 VACANCIES
1.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i) Inspect the vehicle before and after a journey to determine its safety condition.
ii) Transport employees to various locations for official work travel.
iii) Perform minor vehicle repairs.
iv) Fill in and maintain records of all journeys in the logbook.
v) Collect and distribute various documents.
vi) Clean the vehicle.
vii) Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
1.1.1 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Must hold a Form Four (Form IV) certificate and a Class C or E driving license that has been in use for at least one year without causing an accident.

Must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA, NIT, or another government-recognized institution.

1.1.3 GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged 18 to 45 years.
ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify their disability in the job application system for the information of the Employment Secretariat in the Public Service.
iii. Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (Detailed C.V) with a current address, available phone numbers, and email address, along with the names of three reliable referees.
iv. All applications must include certified copies of Education and Professional Certificates, including Form IV and VI certificates (for those who reached that level), certificates of completed training courses, Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificate, Computer Certificates, and Professional Certificates from respective Boards.
v. Candidates who submit Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of Results, or Form IV and VI result slips will not be accepted and will not be allowed to proceed to the interview.
vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and confirmed by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET).
vii. Applicants who have retired from Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have a permit from the Chief Secretary.
viii. Driver Grade II applicants with a Class E or C license must attach driving training certificates that qualify them for the respective class.
ix. Applicants already employed in entry-level positions within the Public Service should not apply and must follow the instructions in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November, 2010.
x. Applicants submitting false information or qualifications will face legal action.
xi. Applicants with differing names in their documents must submit a DEED POLL registered with the Ministry of Lands.
xii. Applicants with spelling differences in academic, birth, and NIDA certificates must attach a Name Affidavit.
xiii. The deadline for submission of applications is 24 November, 2025.
