JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Director of Kigamboni Municipality announces to qualified Tanzanian citizens with interest in working in this Municipality to apply for two (02) job vacancies after receiving permission from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as detailed below:

1.0 DRIVER GRADE II - 2 POSITIONS

1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition.
ii. Transport staff to various locations on official assignments.
iii. Perform minor vehicle repairs.
iv. Collect and distribute various documents.
v. Fill out and maintain records of all trips in the trip logbook.
vi. Clean the vehicle.
vii. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, one must have a Form IV certificate and a Class "E" or "C" driving license which has been in use for at least one year without causing an accident.
The applicant must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or another Government-recognized institution.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
i. Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must indicate their disability in the recruitment system.
iii. Applicants must attach a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a reliable address, active phone numbers, email address, and names of three reliable referees.
iv. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of academic and professional certificates by a Magistrate or Lawyer.
v. All applicants must attach a birth certificate.
vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must attach verification and approval reports from TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET.
vii. Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of Results, and Form IV/VI results slips will not be accepted.
viii. Applicants for Driver Grade II must attach valid driving training certificates qualifying them for the respective license class.
ix. Submission of false information will result in legal action.
x. Public servants who obtained academic qualifications while in service must apply through their employers.
xi. Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless they have approval from the Chief Secretary.
xii. Applicants with name differences on certificates must attach a Deed Poll.
xiii. Applicants with spelling differences must attach an Affidavit.
xiv. Deadline for applications is 24/11/2025.
