JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The District Executive Director of Buchosa District Council announces to qualified Tanzanians eight (08) job vacancies in this Council, following approval from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:-
1.0 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT GRADE II – 05 POSTS
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Listing incoming correspondence in the register (incoming correspondence register).
ii. Listing outgoing correspondence in the register (outgoing correspondence register).
iii. Distributing files to action officers.
iv. Receiving files returned from action officers.
v. Searching for records/documents/files required by officers.
vi. Returning files to racks/filing cabinets or other storage areas.
vii. Tracking the circulation of files within the Institution.
1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant must have Form IV or Form VI education, a Certificate/Diploma (NTA level 6) in Records Management from a Government recognized institution and computer skills.
1.1.2 SALARY SCALE: TGS C
2.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 02 POSTS
2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to ascertain its roadworthiness.
ii. Transporting staff to various locations on official trips.
iii. Performing minor vehicle repairs.
iv. Maintaining and writing a log book for all trips.
v. Collecting and distributing various documents.
vi. Cleaning the vehicle.
vii. Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
2.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant must have Form IV education and a Class C or E driving license, with at least one year of driving experience without causing an accident, and must possess the certificate which qualified him/her for the respective license class. Furthermore, he/she must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA College or another Government recognized institution.
2.1.2 SALARY SCALE: TGS B
3.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 01 POST
3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Typing letters, reports and routine documents.
ii. Receiving visitors, listening to their issues and directing them to relevant sections for assistance.
iii. Maintaining records/registers of events, appointments, visitors, meeting dates, supervisor's travel schedules and other work plans.
iv. Searching for files and documents needed for task execution.
v. Receiving files and distributing them to relevant officers in the department/unit.
vi. Collecting, maintaining and returning files and documents to relevant sections.
vii. Organizing minutes and making preparations for various meetings.
viii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements.
3.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant must be a Form IV graduate with a Secretarial Diploma or NTA level 6 certificate in Secretarial Studies. Additionally, they must have passed shorthand tests in Kiswahili and English at 100 words per minute and be proficient in computer office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email and Publisher from any Government recognized college.
3.1.2 SALARY SCALE: TGS C
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL APPLICANTS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.

iv. Public servants employed in internship positions should not apply and must adhere to the directives in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
v. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of Academic and Professional Certificates by a Magistrate/Advocate, including Form IV or Form VI certificates (for those who reached that level) and relevant Diploma/Certificates, - Form IV and VI examination certificates.
vi. “Testimonials”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of results”, Form IV and Form VI results slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vii. Applicants who studied abroad must ensure their certificates have been verified and validated by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
viii. Applicants retired from Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary;
ix. Submission of false information will lead to legal action against the culprits.
x. The deadline for submitting job applications is 29th January, 2026.
