POSITION: LEGAL OFFICER
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B).
Registered Advocate of the High Court.
At least 2 years’ experience in mobile money, fintech or related industries.
Core Responsibilities
Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents to protect company interests.
Ensure all company contracts with partners, suppliers and customers are valid and compliant.
Represent the company in legal matters and safeguard its reputation.
Identify, assess and manage legal risks related to mobile financial services and related operations.
Provide timely legal advice and support to all departments.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and governance standards.
Monitor, interpret and communicate new or amended legislation affecting company activities.
Align company policies and procedures with AXIAN Group standards and legal requirements.
Maintain and update the legal register and ensure proper archiving of legal documents.
Support board secretarial and statutory compliance functions under the Companies Act of Tanzania.
Assist in organizing Board, Shareholders’ and Shariah Supervisory Board meetings.
Prepare and update statutory registers, board calendars and company records.

Qualifications
University degree in Procurement Management, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
Procurement Management Certification is an added advantage.
Core Responsibilities
Ensure all suppliers are approved and listed in the supplier register.
Drive cost-effective, efficient and compliant procurement of goods and services.
Raise and process purchase orders in line with approval thresholds and workflows.
Guide users in preparing CAPEX and OPEX submissions.
Monitor open purchase orders and follow up for timely closure.
Maintain proper documentation and monthly tracking of purchase orders and contracts.
Provide procurement status updates to department heads.
Support preparation of monthly procurement and commitment reports.
Assist with cost analysis, audits and month-end closing activities.
Ensure procurement records are accurate and audit-ready.
Support compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned.

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Record petty cash retirements and monitor advances.
Monitor aged receivables and support collections.
Monitor aged payables and supplier credit terms.
Perform supplier reconciliations.
Review purchase requisitions and petty cash requests for compliance.
Coordinate accurate recording of goods received notes.
Maintain month-end journals including accruals and provisions.
Perform bank, wallet and three-way reconciliations.
Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
