JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Municipal Director of Kahama Municipal Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for three (03) vacant posts following approval from the Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:
1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 03 POSTS
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition;
ii. To transport staff to various locations on official duties;
iii. To perform minor vehicle repairs;
iv. To deliver and distribute documents as required;
v. To fill in and maintain records of all trips in the vehicle logbook;
vi. To clean and maintain the assigned vehicle; and
vii. To perform any other duties as assigned by the employer.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The applicant must have Form Four education and possess a valid Class C or E driving license with a proven working experience of at least one (1) year without causing an accident. The applicant must also possess a certificate qualifying him/her for the relevant driving license class and must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or another Government-recognized institution.

2.0 GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years;
ii. Applicants must submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with reliable contact addresses and phone numbers, including names of three (3) reputable referees;
iii. Applicants must attach copies of Form Four or Form Six Certificates, professional certificates, and Birth Certificate. Submission of result slips, statements of results, provisional results, or transcripts will not be accepted;
iv. Applicants who completed Form Four or Form Six studies outside Tanzania must submit verification from the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA);
v. Applicants who studied at Colleges or Universities outside Tanzania must submit verification from the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU);
vi. The signed application letter may be written in either English or Kiswahili;
vii. Applicants with special needs or disabilities are required to indicate this in their applications;
viii. Applicants who submit forged information will face legal action in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania;
ix. Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless they have official permission from the Chief Secretary;
x. Applicants whose names differ across their documents must submit a sworn deed poll for name change registered by the Ministry of Lands;
xi. The deadline for submitting applications is 18th February, 2026;
xii. All applications must be submitted through the electronic Recruitment Portal at https://portal.ajira.go.tz (also accessible via the Employment Secretariat website under the “Recruitment Portal” section); and
xiii. Applications submitted outside the procedures specified in this announcement will not be considered.
