Our clinics feature state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratories performing over 3,500 tests across Hematology, Parasitology, Biochemistry, Rapid Tests, and Imaging (X-ray, Ultrasound, and Echocardiography). All Medikea doctors are licensed and registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT).

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

1. Medical Doctor (2 Positions)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients, ensuring accurate diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Conduct patient consultations, physical examinations, and medical history assessments.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote patient well-being.
  • Implement preventive healthcare measures and support company health programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records using Medikea's electronic medical record system.
  • Provide virtual consultations through the Medikea telemedicine platform.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD/MBBS/MBChB) from a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of internship.
  • Registered and licensed with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT).
  • Previous clinical experience is an added advantage.

2. Laboratory Technician (2 Positions)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, microbiology, biochemistry, parasitology, and urinalysis.
  • Plan and supervise sample collection while ensuring proper handling and processing of specimens.
  • Conduct laboratory tests in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GCLP, and other relevant regulations.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure cleanliness of laboratory facilities.
  • Support quality assurance activities and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of laboratory results.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology/Sciences or a related field.
  • Registered with the relevant professional body.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.

3. Registered Nurse (2 Positions)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care according to established clinical guidelines.
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs and health conditions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as prescribed.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
  • Provide health education to patients and their families.
  • Observe and report changes in patients' conditions and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Support daily clinical operations while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

  • Certificate (NTA Level 5) or Diploma in Nursing, Midwifery, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council with a valid practicing license.
  • Previous nursing experience is an added advantage.

4. Attendant (1 Position)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with basic personal care, including feeding, repositioning, and bed bathing.
  • Maintain cleanliness of clinic wards, compounds, and surrounding areas.
  • Conduct sanitary rounds and assist with patient triaging.
  • Support nursing staff in routine patient care activities.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming clinic environment.
  • Assist with patient transportation and other assigned support duties.

Qualifications

  • Form IV (CSEE) Certificate.
  • One-year certificate course in a health-related field.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Good physical health.

5. Administrative Officer (1 Position)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administrative operations of the clinic.
  • Manage patient medical records and documentation.
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
  • Handle correspondence and communication related to medical services.
  • Coordinate with medical personnel to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Assist with patient registration, inquiries, and customer service.
  • Support billing, cash handling, and other administrative duties.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in healthcare administration is an added advantage.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.

6. Pharmaceutical Technician (Pharmtech) (2 Positions)

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense medicines and medical supplies according to prescriptions.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy inventory and drug records.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
  • Order medicines and supplies while verifying deliveries against purchase orders.
  • Provide excellent customer service during prescription drop-off and collection.
  • Counsel patients on proper medication usage and therapeutic regimens.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences from an accredited institution.
  • Registered with the Pharmacy Council of Tanzania.
  • Valid practicing license.
  • Proficient in computer applications.

7. Radiographer (1 Position)

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate imaging equipment including X-ray, Ultrasound, and Echocardiography machines.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain examination processes.
  • Position patients and equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and examination rooms.
  • Assess image quality and maintain patient imaging records.
  • Support the development of improved imaging protocols.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Radiography from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with the Medical Radiology and Imaging Professionals Council of Tanzania.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.
  • Proven ability to operate radiographic equipment.
