3. Research & Development Officer (1 Post) – Moshi HQ
Job Title: Research & Development Officer (1 Post) – Moshi HQ
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop tissue culture protocols for new plant species and varieties.
- Investigate suitable explant sources and sterilization techniques.
- Develop and optimize culture media, including plant growth regulators, nutrients, vitamins, carbohydrates, and gelling agents.
- Investigate and resolve common tissue culture challenges, including microbial contamination, phenolic oxidation and tissue browning, low multiplication rates, etc.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) in one of the following disciplines: Plant Biotechnology, Plant Tissue Culture, Agricultural Biotechnology, Horticultural Science, or any other closely related biological science.
- Candidates with postgraduate research experience in micropropagation or plant biotechnology will be given preference.
- Minimum 2–3 years of practical experience in plant tissue culture, micropropagation, or related plant biotechnology research.
- Ability to translate research into commercially viable production improvements.

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultant (1 Post) – Moshi HQ
Key Responsibilities:
- Track project performance, targets, and impact (2026–2029).
- Conduct surveys and focus group discussions to assess farmer adoption, livelihoods, and gender inclusion.
- Facilitate annual review workshops and provide recommendations for project improvement.
- Review and improve data management, reporting, and target tracking systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Evaluation, Agriculture, Statistics, Development Studies, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E for agricultural development projects; Tanzania experience is preferred.
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative research, statistical software, mobile data collection, and digital management systems.
