VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, on behalf of the MDAs & LGAs, invites job applications from qualified and capable Tanzanians to fill 912 positions as detailed in this announcement;
1.0 TEACHER GRADE III C - MATHEMATICS - Positions 709
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To prepare a work plan, lesson preparations, lesson notes and a Work Plan for other assigned duties;
ii. To make and maintain teaching and learning aids;
iii. To teach, conduct Assessments and maintain records of Students' Progress;
iv. To supervise and monitor students' attendance in School and in Class;
v. To supervise the intellectual, physical, spiritual upbringing of students and to provide counselling and guidance;
vi. To provide professional and academic advice regarding the development of Education;
vii. To supervise and take care of school equipment and property; and
viii. Any other duties as assigned by the Head of School in accordance with the School's responsibilities.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANT
An applicant must possess a Bachelor with Education degree or a Bachelor of Education degree with Mathematics as a teaching subject OR a non-Education/Teaching Bachelor's degree with Mathematics as a teaching subject plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from a Higher Learning Institution recognized by the Government.

2.0 TEACHER GRADE III C - PHYSICS - Positions 201
2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To prepare a work plan, lesson preparations, lesson notes and a Work Plan for other assigned duties;

2.2 QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANT
An applicant must possess a Bachelor with Education degree or a Bachelor of Education degree with Physics as a teaching subject OR a non-Education/Teaching Bachelor's degree with Physics as a teaching subject plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from a Higher Learning Institution recognized by the Government.

3.0 CHILD CARE ASSISTANT (NURSERY ATTENDANT) - Positions 2
3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To participate in implementing an integrated plan for Child Upbringing, Growth and Early Childhood Development (ECD integrated plan);
ii. To prepare and implement a daily activity schedule at the respective centre;
iii. To identify and use a safe learning environment for children;
iv. To refer child-related matters that are beyond his/her capacity;
v. To identify children with special needs and provide appropriate services;
vi. To participate in community mobilization to provide child upbringing, growth and early development services;
vii. To provide advice to parents/guardians regarding child upbringing, growth and early development in his/her area;
viii. To prepare and submit a report on the implementation of daily activities in the respective area;
ix. To participate in the case management process for children at the respective level;
x. To prepare a report on the establishment of child upbringing, growth and early development centres in respective areas;
xi. And to perform any other duties as assigned by his/her Supervisor according to his/her education and skills.
3.2 QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANT
An applicant must be a Form IV or Form VI graduate who has completed training for a Certificate in Child Upbringing, Growth and Early Childhood Development, Child Welfare and other related fields from institutions recognized by the Government.
3.3 SALARY LEVEL

GENERAL CONDITIONS
- All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and not above 45 years of age. However, for positions within Military Institutions: Applicants for non-degree positions must not be above 25 years. Applicants for degree positions must not be above 30 years.
- Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should indicate in the recruitment system the type of disability they have for information to the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.
- All applicants must attach a certified copy of birth certificate certified by a Lawyer/Attorney.
- Job applicants who are employed in the Public Service, SHOULD NOT APPLY and should adhere to the instructions contained in letter ref. CAC45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November 2010.
- All applications must be accompanied by professional certificates, detailed curriculum vitae, certified copies of certificates (by a Lawyer/Attorney) which are birth certificate, certificates of completion of various studies considering the qualifications for the specific job:- Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates. Professional certificates (from respective boards).
- "Testimonials", "Provisional Results", "Statement of results", Form IV and Form VI results slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET). For applicants for positions requiring 'GPA' who studied outside Tanzania, they must attach a GPA calculation certificate from TCU.
- Applicants who retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
- Submission of falsified information and qualifications will lead to legal action being taken against the culprits.
- The deadline for submitting job applications is 28th January, 2026.
