TEACHING VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Hermon Boys’ Secondary School invites applications from qualified Tanzanian candidates for immediate employment in the following teaching positions:
- MATHEMATICS AND GEOGRAPHY TEACHER – 01 POST
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and other academic documents.
ii. Conduct classroom teaching in Mathematics and Geography according to the school timetable.
iii. Provide academic consultation and guidance to students.
iv. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students’ academic performance.
v. Set, invigilate, and mark exercises, tests, and examinations.
vi. Perform other duties as assigned by the school leadership.
- MATHEMATICS AND ECONOMICS TEACHER – 01 POST
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and other academic documents.
ii. Conduct classroom teaching in Mathematics and Economics as per the school timetable.
iii. Provide academic consultation and guidance to students.
iv. Set, invigilate, and mark exercises, tests, and examinations.
v. Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance.
vi. Perform other duties as assigned by the school leadership.
- GEOGRAPHY AND ECONOMICS TEACHER – 01 POST
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and other academic documents.
ii. Conduct classroom teaching in Geography and Economics as per the school timetable.
iii. Provide academic consultation and guidance to students.
iv. Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance.
v. Set, invigilate, and mark exercises, tests, and examinations.
vi. Perform other duties as assigned by the school leadership.
- HISTORY AND ECONOMICS TEACHER – 01 POST
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and other academic documents.
ii. Conduct classroom teaching in History and Economics as per the school timetable.
iii. Provide academic consultation and guidance to students.
iv. Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance.
v. Set, invigilate, and mark exercises, tests, and examinations.
vi. Perform other duties as assigned by the school leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
i. A Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject(s) with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
ii. Applicants must have graduated in 2024 or 2025.
iii. Applicants who graduated in 2025 may apply using provisional results, with a minimum GPA of 3.5 for the first five semesters.
iv. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, database management, website and online system control, and effective internet usage.
