ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCIES

The Office of the Manager of Ellen White School – Dodoma announces twenty-nine (29) job vacancies in various cadres to strengthen its operations. All qualified Tanzanians are invited to apply for the positions listed below:
1.0 Assistant Manager, Human Resources and Quality Control – 4 Posts
1.1 Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Handling employee complaints, discipline, and conflict resolution.
(ii) Overseeing recruitment and employment processes for new staff.
(iii) Developing and implementing special training programs and performance management systems to improve staff skills and productivity.
(iv) Providing data and maintaining various human resource records.
(v) Coordinating implementation of the School Policy, teacher evaluations, and quality control of teaching, including monitoring evaluation outcomes.
(vi) Managing performance appraisal systems and enhancing high performance and retention.
(vii) Conducting internal quality control to ensure the provision of education at all levels adheres to established laws, regulations, standards, procedures, and ministerial guidelines.
(viii) Facilitating access to security, transportation, and general services.
(ix) Facilitating maintenance of office equipment, buildings, and school premises.
(x) Preparing and submitting departmental reports to the School Manager, Executive Director, and executing assigned instructions.
(xi) Conducting research to improve customer service, teaching, management, and school operations.
(xii) Performing any other duties assigned by the School Manager according to job responsibilities.
1.2 Applicant Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or Arts from a recognized university with a major in one of the following fields: Human Resource Management, Personnel Planning, Sociology, or Public Administration. Must have computer skills. Applicants with at least three (3) years of leadership or management experience in an educational institution will be given priority.
2.0 Pre and Primary School Teachers – 15 Posts
2.1 Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Preparing work plans, lesson plans, lesson notes, and work schedules for assigned duties.
(ii) Establishing and facilitating teaching and learning environments.
(iii) Teaching, conducting assessments, and keeping students’ progress records.
(iv) Monitoring and supervising student attendance at school and in class.
(v) Overseeing students’ mental, physical, and spiritual development and providing counselling and guidance.
(vi) Offering professional and academic advice on educational development.
(vii) Supervising proper use and maintenance of school equipment and property.
(viii) Performing other duties assigned by the Head of School according to school needs.
2.2 Applicant Qualifications
An applicant must have a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or Primary Education from a government-recognized institution. Applicants capable of teaching using English and with at least two (2) years of teaching experience in a recognized school will be given priority.
3.0 Transport Officer Grade II – 1 Post
3.1 Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Planning and coordinating the school’s vehicle schedule efficiently.
(ii) Submitting transport operation costs to support decision-making.
(iii) Ensuring proper keeping of transport-related statistics and records.
(iv) Conducting daily inspections of school vehicles and machinery and reporting findings.
(v) Preparing reports, estimates, and maintenance requirements for vehicles and machinery.
(vi) Handling other transport-related duties.
(vii) Supervising fuel usage and maintaining the fuel logbook.
3.2 Applicant Qualifications
(i) A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Transport, Fleet Management, or Transport Logistics. Applicants with at least two (2) years of experience in the transport sector or in institutions with fleet operations will be given priority.
(ii) A valid Class C driving license is an added advantage.
4.0 Office Management Secretary Grade II – 2 Posts
4.1 Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Typing examinations, letters, reports, and confidential documents.
(ii) Keeping records of events, appointments, meeting schedules, and travel dates.
(iii) Receiving visitors, listening to their concerns, and directing them to appropriate services.
(iv) Receiving complaints and dispatching them timely to relevant departments or sections.
(v) Receiving and locating files required for task execution.
(vi) Collecting, keeping, and returning files and documents to relevant places.
(vii) Preparing lists of required office supplies and performing any other assigned duties.
4.2 Applicant Qualifications
An applicant must have completed Form Four with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies. Must have passed Swahili and English typing at 100 words per minute and completed training in office computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and Publisher from a government-recognized institution.
5.0 Drivers – 10 Posts
5.1 Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Picking up students and transporting them to school and returning them to designated drop-off points.
(ii) Transporting staff outside the workplace for official duties.
(iii) Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety.
(iv) Cleaning and performing minor vehicle maintenance.
(v) Collecting and delivering various documents.
(vi) Recording all trips in the vehicle logbook.
(vii) Performing any other duties assigned by a supervisor.
5.2 Applicant Qualifications
Applicants must:
(i) Have at least primary education (Standard Seven) or Form Four.
(ii) Possess a valid Class C or C1 driving license with at least two (2) years of accident-free driving experience.
(iii) Have completed training in passenger vehicle driving (PSV) from VETA, NIT, or a recognized institution. Applicants with a Grade II Motor Vehicle Mechanics certificate will be given priority.
6.0 General Requirements
(i) All applicants must submit job application letters written in English. Must be Tanzanian citizens aged 18–50.
(ii) All applicants must attach a Detailed Curriculum Vitae with an active address, reachable phone numbers, an email address, and three reliable referees.
(iii) All applicants must attach copies of relevant academic certificates and a copy of a NIDA ID.
(iv) All applicants must attach verified academic certificates (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
(v) One recent passport-size coloured photo.
